Miss Richards
Qualified Primary Teacher
CELTA Qualified

Miss Richards has always enjoyed learning, being one of those pupils that struggled to choose which subjects to drop at GCSE and A Level. After studying academic subjects (including Maths) in Further Education, she continued to study History and Languages at one of the UK's top ten ranking universities while working part-time at a primary school. After studying for a PCGE, Miss Richards went into full-time teaching. She has first-hand experience in teaching all of the year groups in Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.

After leaving full-time teaching in schools, Miss Richards spent three years teaching small groups and individuals in schools around the borough, enjoying broadening her skills by tutoring KS3, KS4 and adult students too.

In 2018, Miss Richards qualified to teach English as a second language after studying a CELTA course. Her certificate grade puts her in the top 30% of successful candidates for this course worldwide.

Ever a lover of learning, Miss Richards has completed a creative writing course, a history for leisure course, a New Testament Greek course and a diploma in Child Psychology in recent years. In 2017, she attended a four-day course about listening and counselling skills. She is currently studying French again and hopes to return to German studies in the future. In her spare time, she enjoys anything creative and walking in the countryside.
